Local author and contributor to Brevard’s Local, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson along with Tyell Plair released their latest novel on February 1, 2024. The book is titled “Just like My Dad 2”, Where once again we can follow the advice of the coaches generate a winning season but mentor the players in life and prepare them for what is ahead in life and how to manage it. Team Sports is such a valuable lesson for a young boy or girl, team sports help develop how to be coached, listening skills, how to play as a team respect for your teammates and coaches, winning and losing and how to face challenges, these are life lessons that a boy or girl carry all through their lives, along with the friendships and the memories.

So once again Mrs. Johnson & Mr. Plair, new title, “Just Like My Dad 2”, finds the main characters back on the baseball field, as the Braves continue in their pursuit of a championship season, they are soon faced with adversity as one of their star teammates is forced to leave the team. The team will have to come together in more ways than one. Who will step up is the question on everyone’s mind. However, soon enough, the Braves learn that it is not just about winning but coming together as a team. 

Valuable life lessons are given, and learned, as teammates are forced to deal with the feeling empathy toward one of their most beloved players. This baseball season will be a test not only for the players but for the coaches as well. Can Coach Carl and Coach Mike prepare the team for an unbelievable game while providing life lessons for the many challenges they continue to endure as a team? 

 ”Just Like My Dad 2”, is a novel that explores the relationship between fathers and father figures, and the impact they have in and out of these kids’ lives. Father figures come in many forms, such as family, friends, or coaches, like Coach Carl and Coach Mike.  Discover the power of teamwork, friendship, and overcoming adversity on and off the baseball field, through the reading of “Just Like My Dad 2”.

About the authors, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, Brooklyn, New York native, Elizabeth Johnson is a break-out author after signing with PlaTy Multimedia & Publishing and released her debut title, “Just Like My Dad” in April 16, 2021. Mrs. Johnson resides in Palm Bay.

Tyrell Plair is the co-author and CEO of PlaTy Multimedia & Publishing. Mr. Plair is from Chicago where at a young age he began to hone his writing skills with poetry, and rap lyrics, and then some creative roles in writing and producing commercials and films. Mr. Plair’s first novel, “Stolen Innocence” was released in 2019. In 2021, he co-authored “Just Like My Dad” with Elizabeth Johnson.
